We were proud to play a key role in one of the most high-profile building relocations in Sweden.

How does a house relocation work?

Relocating a house requires experience, the right equipment and careful planning. With us as your partner, your house relocation is smooth, safe and efficient, whether it's a house, holiday home or another type of building.

1. Initial consultation

We begin with a meeting by phone, Teams or a similar platform, where we discuss your house relocation project. We encourage you to send us photos or videos of the building, along with information about the type of house, foundation and site conditions. We also go through where the house will be relocated from and where it will be transported.

After the meeting, you'll receive an initial cost estimate for your house relocation.

2. Site visit and planning

Once you decide to move forward, we carry out a site visit. We assess the entire project, inspect the transport route and visit the final destination. This ensures that your house relocation can be carried out safely and without unexpected issues.

3. Free quotation

You'll receive a clear, free quotation outlining every part of the project, including the total cost.

4. Project start

We can take responsibility for your entire house relocation or only selected parts of it, depending on your needs. Together, we'll develop a solution that suits your project.

5. House relocation

Most of our customers choose our turnkey solution. In that case, we manage the entire process, from planning to the completed relocation of your house. We take care of permits, transport exemptions and all practical work, so you can feel confident throughout the project.

We have experience relocating all types of buildings and structures

In most cases, a building can be relocated in one piece, making the process smooth and allowing you to remain in the building throughout the relocation. In some cases, however, factors beyond our control mean that the best solution is to modify the building before it is relocated.

This is often determined by infrastructure constraints such as:

  • Bridges

  • Tunnels

  • Vegetation

  • Road width and load capacity

We always assess which method is the safest and most efficient for your specific project.

What does it cost to
moving house?

This is one of the most common questions about house moving that we receive and a difficult question to answer before we have become familiar with the project.

The cost of moving a house varies greatly depending on:

  • House size

  • Construction

  • Distance

  • Soil conditions

  • Infrastructure along the transport route

Every house move has its unique challenges,
But with our attitude that everything can be moved, we always find a solution.

We move and have experience with houses that are on:

  • Plinth foundation
The house stands on concrete plinths or pillars (common for holiday homes, holiday homes and older buildings).

  • Pile foundation

  • Stone base / Natural stone base
Older houses, especially cottages and farms.

  • Hybrid foundation
For example, part basement and part crawl space.

  • Log house directly on land
Occurs on very old buildings, but is uncommon today.

We have solutions and methods for all types of facades:

  • Wooden facade (vertical or horizontal panel)
The most common facade type in Sweden.

  • Timber facade
Visible timber, common on older houses and mountain huts.

  • Brick facade
Wall facade in brick, either load-bearing or as facade brick.

  • Plastered facade
Plaster on concrete, lightweight concrete or brick (common on 60s–80s houses and modern villas).
